How to remove a user from a voting process without losing the votes already submitted?
It is always possible to remove a participant from a voting process without losing the votes that were already submitted by the other users. However, to ensure this works correctly, it is crucial to follow the right steps:
Go to the agenda item where the vote has been configured.
In the Voting section, remove the participant you no longer wish to include in the vote.
Important: After making this change, you must click Save in the agenda item.
A pop-up will appear, asking whether you want to:
Keep the existing votes (only removing the vote of the person you just excluded), or
Start a new voting process (erasing all previous votes).
Select the option that fits your needs.
How to vote on behalf of someone?
If a member has delegated their vote to you, you can:
Open the agenda item
Click on voting status
Select the pen on the right side of the user and confirm their choice. You can also add a note to say the vote was done on behalf if necessary.
How to create a decision based on the outcome of the vote?
Once the vote is closed, you can create a decision based on the outcome directly in Sherpany:
Still in the voting menu, select Create decision.
Edit the decision text if needed.
Confirm to finalise it.
Note
The Create decision button only appears once the vote is closed.
After the decision is created, the results and the decision are visible in the meeting book and minutes. You can also notify participants if needed.
